Public Health, often labeled as the silent partner in the health care system, has been on the forefront for over a year. Everyone has heard the public health messages: wash hands, wear a mask, social distance, no group gatherings, contact tracing, case investigation, isolation, quarantine, COVID testing, and now COVID vaccination.
As we celebrate the 26th year of National Public Health Week, I urge you to take time to thank the Public Health staff with the Livingston County Department of Health for their due diligence in keeping our community safe and healthy, especially in this pandemic time. Their unrelenting dedication and strong commitment to the public health mission of a healthy community is to be commended. Thank you!
