GENESEO — York’s Trent Englert wanted an encore to his 270-foot bomb he hit at Cobbs Hill Park last week.
So he sailed another one out of the park Sunday, this time a line drive rocket over the Highland Park fence that helped the 12U Geneseo Blue Knights earn the 8-2 win over visiting Kendall.
Geneseo improved to 3-0 on the season while Kendall fell to 2-1.
Englert led the offensive attack with a home run and a double, while Ethan “Bird” Berger added two hits,as did Brody Pangrazio, Bryce Patterson, and Mason Parsons.
The Blue Knights combined excellent pitching, great defense, and strong hitting.
Starter Mason Parsons struck out six batters and allowed just one hit in his three innings of work on the bump.
Berger pitched the final three innings striking out five and giving up just two hits.
The Blue Knights play in the MCBR International West.
