PERRY — Ryan Whitney captured three events including the 50 Freestyle (24.28) and two relays as visiting Geneseo out swam Letchworth/Perry 91-70 Thursday night in Perry. Whitney was also on both the winning 200 Freestyle (1:51.11) and 400 Freestyle (4:06.40) relays.

Catherine Staley and Addy Capel also won one individual event and was on a winning relay.

Staley won the 500 Freestyle in 6:09.7 and Capel captured the 200 IM with a time of 2:43.

Also for Geneseo, Reese Kleinhans captured the top spot in the 100 Backstroke in 1:14.33.

For Letchworth/Perry, the team of Porter Matthews, RJ Donlon-Bergen, Alex Wright, and Richard Hoyt captured the 200 Medley Relay in 2:03.21.

Matthews was also victorious in both the 100 Freestyle (54.64) and 200 Freestyle (2:03.03) while Wright won the 100 Butterfly (1:04.73) and Donlon-Bergen won the 100 Breaststroke (1:20.04).

Also for Letchworth/Perry, Emma Phillips dropped three full seconds off her backstroke time and Wright dropped two seconds off his winning fly time.

AVON 55, YORK/PAVILION 40

The Braves opened up strong as the team of Kaitlyn Geary, Joleigh Crye, Evan Masten, and Ian Gallagher captured the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:57.34 as Avon improved to 2-2 on the year.

That foursome had a huge meet as Masten also captured both the 50 Freestyle (24.63) and 100 Freestyle (54.95) while Geary went on to win the 200 IM in 2:29.03 and Crye hit the wall first in the 100 Butterfly (58.30).

Also for Avon, Cole Werner placed first in the 500 (5:39.74).

For York/Pavilion, Kaylen Peffers captured first place in the 200 Freestyle in 2:19.78 while teammates Haylie Dixon and Rebecca Lee captured the 100 Breaststroke (1:24.34) and 100 Backstroke (1:39.86) respectively.

LIVONIA 102, DANSVILLE 70

Defending sectional champion Livonia won all but three events as the Bulldogs swam past visiting Dansville 102-70 Thursday night in Livonia.

The Bulldogs came out quickly showing their depth as they captured the 200 Medley Relay in 1:54.49 as Adam DelGrand, Robbie Stewart, Christian Tewksbury, and DeMartinis won by seven seconds.

DelGrand also captured the 200 IM (2:17.86) while Stewart also won the 100 Butterfly (58.48).

Also for unbeaten Livonia (3-0), Tomas Gifford captured first in the 200 Freestyle (2:11.33); AJ Miller won the 50 Freestyle (24.78); and Brendan Myers captured the 100 Freestyle (55.89).

Dansville’s wins came in Diving where Robert Balconi scored a 177.83; the 500 Freestyle as Zack Kreiley hit the wall in 5:18.51; and the 100 Breaststroke as Kreiley won again in 1:08.37.

Personal best came from Jeff Burmingham in the 100 Free (sectional cut) and the 100 Back, Parker Howard in the 200 Free, Preston Bell in the 50 Free, Ryan Frazer in the 100 Back, and Tim O’Toole in the 100 Fly.

“I thought we swam well but could not match the depth of Livonia’s 42 man roster,” Dansville coach Chris Everett said.
