Cal-Mum hosts annual hoops camp; Potter named top camper

CALEDONIA — Tyler Potter, who will be going into eighth grade this year at Caledonia-Mumford Central School, was named ‘Camper of the Week’ at the annual Cal-Mum Basketball Camp, which has been a strong tradition the past 17 years under head coach Dan Dickens.

It wasn’t a strong camp for Dickens, however, as third grader William Teitsma knocked out Coach Dickens in their traditional camp knockout game on Friday which will allow Teitsma to attend next year’s camp free of charge.

“It was a great week of camp, I saw improvement each day,” Dickens said. “It is always a fun-filled four days and was great to be back after missing last summer.”
