Phyllis R. (Gullo) Argenna, age 93 of Mount Morris, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 11, 2020 at her home.
She was born the daughter of Charles and Natalie (Messina) Gullo on June 23, 1927 in Mount Morris, N.Y. She was a lifelong resident of Mount Morris where she graduated as Valedictorian from Mount Morris High School. She married Anthony S. “Archie” Argenna on April 16, 1947.
Prior to her retirement in 1982 she was employed as a Senior Account Clerk at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and CSEA. She enjoyed golfing, going to the Casino and Coffee Club with the ladies.
She is survived by her devoted husband of over 73 years, Anthony S. “Archie” Argenna; loving sons, Guy A. Argenna of Mount Morris and Charles A. (Susan) Argenna of Henrietta. She cherished her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews including Joanne Coultry and Natalie Young.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Natalie Gullo; brothers, Joseph, Charles, Sam and Jack Gullo. The family would like to thank all of Phyllis’ caregivers and a special thanks to BJ Winslow and Theresa Wagner.
No prior calling. Funeral mass to be held Saturday,September 19, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Church, Mount Morris at 11 am.
