Philip J. Powers, 42, formerly of Nunda, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 16, 2021, at his home in Orlando, Fla.

Philip attended Keshequa Central School. He was known to be a hard worker, caring, a loving son, father, husband, loving brother, uncle, friend and loving nephew. Philip loved to cook for his family and friends, loved the outdoors and loved his job as a landscaper and carpenter.

Philip had a huge heart and loved deeply with everything in him.

Philip is survived by his daughters Simone of Rochester, N,Y., and Jiana and Kelcey of Florida; son, Joseph of Florida; mother, Tina and Lowell Strobel of West Sparta; father, Steve Powers of Nunda; two brothers, Shelton Powers of Dalton, N.Y., and Zachary Powers of Winston Salem, N.C.; three sisters, Theasa Scripp of West Sparta, N.Y., Tosha and Brandon Hawks of Wyoming, N.Y., and Monica and David Lee Sparks of Winston Salem, N.C. Philip is also survived by his grandparents, Richard and Barb Powers of Nunda, N.Y., William Lamitina and wife; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Philip is predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Alice Sherman of Castile, N.Y.; great-grandparents, Ralph and Jane Stevens of Nunda, N.Y.; and uncle, Bruce Powers of Nunda, N.Y.

There will be a Celebration of Life in memory of Philip at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Nunda Firehall for family and friends.
