BATAVIA — A total of 449 active COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday in the GLOW region.

That compares to 367 cases one week earlier, representing an increase of 82. Genesee, Orleans and Livingston counties experienced increases, while the number in Wyoming County decreased compared to one week earlier.

Here’s a county-by-county look at the data:

n Genesee County — From Monday to Thursday, Genesee County reported 75 new positive cases for a total of 5,989, according to the county’s COVID-19 dashboard.

The individuals are under the age of 20 and in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. Thirteen of 160 active cases are hospitalized.

There are 61 new recoveries for a total of 5,252.

Genesee County reported a total of 131 deaths — an increase of one community member under the age of 65.

A total of 32,131 people, or 55.9% of county residents, had received at least one vaccine dose as of Friday, according to the New York state vaccine dashboard.

The number of people who have completed the series was 29,735.

The county’s seven-day rolling average of positives was 7.2%.

n Orleans County — From Monday to Thursday, Orleans County reported 84 new cases for a total of 3,689 positive cases.

The individuals are under the age of 20 and in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

Of the 135 active cases, six are hospitalized.

There are 31 new recoveries for a total of 3,124. Orleans County has 84 total deaths.

A total of 20,625 people, or 50.6% of county residents, had received at least one vaccine dose as of Friday, according to the New York state vaccine dashboard. The number of people who have completed the series was 19,040.

The county’s seven-day rolling average of positives was 8.2%.

n Wyoming County — Forty-eight active cases were reported Friday, representing a change of 70 new cases. A total of 3,083 cases since the pandemic began, according to county data.

The number of recoveries is 2,981. There are 54 deaths.

A total of 20,035 people, or 50.0% of county residents, had received at least one vaccine dose as of Friday, according to the New York state vaccine dashboard.

The number of people who have completed the series was 18,592.

The county’s seven-day rolling average of positives was 4.7%.

n Livingston County — As of Friday, Livingston County had 106 active cases, according to the county’s COVID-19 dashboard. That represents an increase of two cases compared to Thursday.

A total of 5,421 cases had been reported since the pandemic began, along with 5,264 recoveries. There have been 63 deaths.

A total of 35,438 people, or 56 percent of county residents, had received at least one vaccine dose as of Friday, according to the New York state vaccine dashboard.

The number of people who have completed the series was 33,306.

A total of 64% of the county’s population of those at least 18 years old had been vaccinated.
