A Nunda man is facing felony charges after allegedly violating an order of protection.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, Alex K. Gaby, 24, traveled to the residence of an individual who had an order of protection out against him to ask for money on two occasions – June 1 and 6.
On Sept. 10, Investigator Connor Sanford arrested Gaby on two counts of aggravated criminal contempt, a class D felony. Because Gaby was previously convicted of criminal contempt in 2016, the current charges against him are felonies.
After his arrest, Gaby was turned over to deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Jail before Conesus Town Justice Ellen Coyne, who remanded Gaby to the custody of the Sheriff on $150 cash bail or $300 bond. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office had recommended bail be set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
