Alexis A. Mock

GENESEO – A Mount Morris woman has been charged in connection with cocaine sales in the village of Geneseo, reports the Livingston County Drug Task Force.

Alexis A. Mock, 20, was arrested April 2 by members of the Geneseo Police Department. A Livingston County Superior Court indictment warrant charged Mock with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all class B felonies.

Mock was turned over to Central Booking deputies at Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The charges qualified for pre-arraignment detention under the state Justice Reform Act, though a justice may not set bail and the individual must be released.

Mock was later arraigned at Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at Livingston County Jail before Town of North Dansville Justice David Werth, who released Mock on her own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses under the state Justice Reform Act.

Mock then appeared April 4 in Livingston County Court before County Court Judge Jennifer Noto, who released Mock on her own recognizance in accordance with the state Justice Reform Act. Mock is scheduled to be back in Livingston County Court at a later date for additional proceedings.

The investigation was handled by the Livingston County Drug Task Foce. The arrest culminated an investigation into the sale of cocaine in the village of Geneseo.

The Livingston County Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the Avon Police Department, the Caledonia Police Department, the Geneseo Police Department, the Dansville Police Department, the Mount Morris Police Department, the Nunda Police Department, the State University of Police at Geneseo and the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office.
