In an effort to keep village residents abreast of what his department is doing, Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian will occasionally provide a list of calls his officers recently responded to. Village officers responded to the following calls from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6. The report does not reflect all of the department’s activity during that time.

August 31

Responded to Court Street for a welfare check.

Responded to the area of Lima Road for a welfare check.

Responded to the Meadows Apartments for suspicious activity.

Responded to Millenium Drive for a larceny complaint.

Responded to Wadsworth Street for low hanging tree branches.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a medical issue.

Responded to Lakeville Road for a welfare check.

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for a larceny complaint.

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for a medical issue.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for damage to a vehicle.

Responded to a business on Main Street for several fake IDs that were confiscated.

Responded to Rorbach Lane for a disabled vehicle.

September 1

Stopped a vehicle on Lima Road and charged Charles Pellegrini, 21, from Pittsford with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to use signal.

Responded to the top of the Doty Curve for a two car motor vehicle accident.

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for a tenant issue.

Responded to Center Street for an individual refusing to wear a mask and getting upset.

Responded to Orchard Street for a civil issue.

Responded to the municipal lot for a criminal mischief report.

Responded to Court Street for a loud noise complaint. Geneseo Police were unable to locate any noise and the complainant was not cooperative.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a medical issue.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for a report of a child left alone in a vehicle.

September 2

Responded to Center Street for a two car motor vehicle accident.

Responded to Woodbine Park for a welfare check.

Responded to Court Street for a welfare check.

Responded to the Skybird Landing Apartments for the report of a child being left alone in an apartment.

Responded to Main Street for a bicyclist/car motor vehicle accident.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for a vehicle lockout.

Responded to a business on Lakeville Road for a vehicle lockout.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for the complaint of four children left in a vehicle.

Received three traffic complaints throughout the Village during the day.

September 3

Responded to Court Street for an individual that ran over newly poured concrete on the sidewalk.

Responded to Volunteer Road at Veteran Drive for a tractor trailer vs minivan accident.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for a vehicle lockout.

Responded to the Meadows Apartments for a report of a large party outside and no one wearing masks.

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for a criminal mischief investigation.

Responded to Orchard Street for a large party complaint. When GPD arrived no party was found.

Responded to South Street for a medical issue.

September 4

Responded to the Meadows Apartments for an animal complaint.

Responded to Main Street for a larceny investigation.

Responded to Wadsworth Street for a tree limb down blocking the roadway.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a domestic.

Responded to a business on East South Street for a larceny complaint.

Geneseo Police and Geneseo Fire responded to a business on Lakeville Road for a fire alarm.

Responded to Court Street for a large group of people yelling at each other.

Responded to North Street for a report of a loud party. Geneseo Police found a small group at the residence with no loud noise.

September 5

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for someone banging on their door.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a domestic.

Stopped a vehicle on Wadsworth Street and the driver, Bailey Moen, 21, from Camillus was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree for having a suspended license.

Responded to a business on East South Street for an unwanted person.

Responded to Noyes Urgent Care Facility for a medical issue.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for vehicle lockout.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a motor vehicle accident.

Responded to Ryan Drive for a vehicle lockout.

Responded to Main Street for a vehicle lockout.

Responded to the Country Lane Apartments for a medical issue.

Stopped a vehicle on Millenium Drive and the driver, Bulent Mamikogu, 54, from Peru, Ill., was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a pre-screen device, and failure to signal.

September 6

Responded to Wadsworth Street for a report of a party with no one wearing masks. Geneseo Police did not find a party outside the residence and no one would come to the door.

Responded to the Highlands Apartments for a vehicle playing loud music. When we arrived we could not locate the vehicle.

Responded to Center Street for a vehicle with an occupant possibly using illegal drugs.

Responded to Tuscarora Avenue for an animal complaint.

Responded to Center Street for a welfare check.

Responded to a business on Main Street for a possible fake ID.

Responded to Chestnut Street for the report of wires down.

Responded to a business on Lakeville Road for a harassment report.

Responded to the Walmart supercenter for a larceny report.
