Wyoming Chamber honors businesses

The J.N. White company of Perry has been recognized as Large Business of the Year by the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.

WARSAW — Several of the area’s best businesses have been recognized as the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism announces its 2021 awards.

The chamber again invited the public to nominate businesses. Its board of directors voted on the finalists based a number of great nominations in each category.

This year’s awardees are:

n Large Business of the Year — JN White of Perry.

n Small Business of the Year — Vertical Café of Warsaw.

n Agri-Business of the Year — Green’s Hoof Trimming of Warsaw.

n Tourism Attraction of the Year — The Apple-Umpkin Festival in Wyoming.

n Tourism Business of the Year — The Castile Cider Mill of Castile.

n Most Promising New Business of the Year — Endlessly Outdoors Company of Perry.

“We were excited to receive a number of great nominations from across the community, and we sincerely congratulate the winners for their many contributions to the quality of life and economic vitality of Wyoming County,” said Chamber President and CEO Scott Gardner in a news release. “These awardees represent diverse services and industries and some of the very best that Wyoming County has to offer. We are sincerely pleased as an organization, to recognize them for their continued growth and success.”

“We are very grateful for all the excellent nominations and it was a thoughtful process in selecting these outstanding awardees,” said Norb Fuest, Chairman of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Each of these businesses and organizations are contributing to the economy in countless ways and creating a better community for all the residents and visitors to Wyoming County.”

Those honored were nominated and selected based on criteria that includes their contributions to the economic vitality and quality of life of Wyoming County; capital investments; business expansions; job growth and retention; community involvement; and their contributions that strengthen their particular business sector in Wyoming County.

The Chamber of Commerce will host the annual awards reception Oct. 28 at Byrncliff Golf Resort and Banquets, 2357 Humphrey Rd,, Varysburg. The event will take place from 5:3 to 7:30 p.m.
