DANSVILLE - The state Department of Transportation plans to reduce a section of Interstate 390 southbound near Exit 5 to a single lane beginning today to accommodate bridge repairs.

The lane closure is expected to last through June 26, according to state DOT.

Construction activities will be limited to daytime hours, though the lane closure will remain in effect through the evening and overnight hours.

All construction activities at this location are weather dependent and subject to change.

The DOT advises travelers to allow for extra time due to the construction and to exercise caution while driving through an active highway work zone.
