PERRY — Perry police have taken a zero-tolerance stance on vandalism at the village park.

Officers already took reports of vandalism and fights on the first day of spring, police said in a Facebook post.

Although they always encourage parental supervision, they’re also asking parents who trust their kids to visit the park unsupervised have conversations with them about being responsible citizens.

“We are very fortunate to have a beautiful park that our DPW takes great pride in maintaining,” police said in the post. “Unfortunately, vandalism often results in costly and time consuming repairs.”

Residents are asked to report disorderly conduct to Perry police immediately at (585) 237-5445.
