Chamber announces business awards

GENESEO – Local businesses and non profits will be honored Thursday at the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce annual business excellence awards.

The event, Chamber officials said, is a way to recognize deserving businesses that make Livingston County a great place to live.

Nominations were made in 20 categories. For each category, a business needed to be a Chamber member and exemplify some or all of the following: have a business or industrial investment in Livingston County, exhibit outstanding community service, be a role model for business development, market expansion and community development; or demonstrate outstanding efforts to promote business development and quality of life in Livingston County

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the ceremony will be different this year, with a virtual mixer kicking off the event from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The awards will be handed out from 7:05 to 8 p.m.

Joe Yantachka, owner of Partyman Catering, will be the guest mixer teaching people how to make signature drinks.

People can also purchase a Partyman Mixer Kit for $10 that will include all of the ingredients need for one to two cocktails, minus the alcohol. People who take a picture and tag Partyman Catering when posting it and you will be entered to win a Partyman Craft Cocktail Kit.
