Dispatcher retires after 30 years with Sheriff’s Office

Longtime Livingston County Sheriff’s Office employee Wendy Morris has retired after 30 years of service.

Morris, who began her career on June 9, 1991, retired as a dispatcher. She has worked both in the department’s Communications Bureau and its Records Division.

A retirement ceremony took place Oct. 15. Morris received a plaque memorializing her service from Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty on behalf of the men and women of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

The ceremony was held in the Board Room of the Livingston County Board of Supervisors’s and was attended by several members of the Sheriff’s Office, as well as family and friends of Morris.
