ROCK GLEN — Registration is underway for a free Wyoming County rabies clinic.

The clinic will take place 9 to 11 a.m. March 20 at the county Highway Department at 4328 Route 19.

In-person registrations will be accepted until 10:45 a.m. March 20. Online registrations will be available until noon on March 19.

Dogs, cats and ferrets at least 3 months old will be inoculated. The initial vaccination is good for one year only.

Each vaccination for dogs and cats will be effective for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated yearly.

Animals must be accompanied by someone able to control them.

All COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced. Mask use and social distancing will be required.

If you are under a mandated COVID-19 quarantine or isolation order on the date of the clinic, do not attend.

The clinic is free to Wyoming County residents, but donations will be accepted to offset its costs. A mandatory $10 fee per animal will be collected for out-of-county residents.
